When receiving the award, Woongjin Chemical's Environment & Material Division's Managing Director Jung-Yul Kim told the press that "the award is the result from all employees’ uninterrupted awareness of sustaining the environment and their continuous effort to produce eco-friendly products". Since becoming the managing director of the Environment and Materials division, Mr. Kim focused on the development of the reverse osmosis membrane, hollow-fiber UF membranes, and micro filters for the water treatment industry.
Woongjin Chemical received the Greatest Stature in Environment in 1993 and also became ISO 14001 certified for all processing facilities in 1997. Selected Woongjin Chemical CSM RO membrane elements have also been tested and certified by NSF International. |
