Samsung Total is one of the largest petrochemical companies in Korea. RO Membranes are
currently installed to purify lake water for use as boiler feed and process water. This particular lake water has high levels of salt and SDI (Silt Density Index). Due to this reason, the major problem with the membranes at this site is membrane fouling; but with CSM FRM (fouling resistant membrane) RO elements, fouling is minimized and a significant amount of cost have been reduced. |
